STOCKPORT, 25 September 2026 — People looking to start a business or take an existing venture to the next level can receive free advice in Stockport this Friday.
The One Stockport Business Support Hub is holding a drop-in support session from 10am to 4pm at the Merseyway Innovation Centre, 21–23 Merseyway, Stockport, SK1 1PN.
The event is designed for a wide range of participants, including established business owners, self-employed workers, freelancers and people who are still developing a business idea.
Visitors will be able to speak with advisers about some of the most important challenges involved in running a business. Topics include starting a company, business growth, access to finance, marketing, professional skills and building local networks.
Several organisations are involved in providing support, including the GM Business Growth Hub, Build A Business Stockport, EnterprisingYou, Trafford and Stockport College Group, and Stockport Council. Their participation gives visitors an opportunity to learn about different forms of assistance available locally and across Greater Manchester.
The session is free of charge, and people can drop in at any time between 10am and 4pm. However, booking in advance is recommended for those who would like priority support.
Participants may benefit from bringing a short description of their business or proposed project, a list of questions they would like to discuss and, where possible, an estimate of their financial, marketing or commercial requirements.
