The measure is designed to make it easier for young people from families facing housing insecurity to attend school, particularly when they are forced to live far from their school. The scheme applies in particular to pupils who are housed more than two miles, or around 3.2 kilometres, from their school. 16 septembre 2026 - 08:08 Manchester residents aged 60 or over, as well as children and teenagers up to 16, can benefit from free swimming slots in several municipal centres. Conditions of access People over 60 can participate for free in the “Swim for All” and “Swim for Fitness” sessions throughout the year. Young people up to 16 years old benefit from “Swim for All” sessions during school holidays and at selected schedules on weekends during school periods.
